With International Women’s Day right around the corner, we want to highlight our CEO, Kristin Elliott. Elliott was recently selected for the San Diego Business Journal “2022 Women of Influence in Engineering Top 50.” This award accurately represents Elliott’s hard work, determination and commitment to PME. Although Kristin is not an engineer, her commitment to leading, growing and supporting the R&D work of PME from a business management perspective, aligns perfectly with the criteria of this award.
“I’m honored to be included among this amazing group of women leaders and influencers. My team and I have a passion for evaluating new technologies and understanding how they can provide value to our customers and beyond,” says Elliott. “From continuously monitoring natural water sources around the world, to providing cutting edge water quality automation to aqua farmers, our water sensor tech provides big insights at the micro level.”
As we celebrate women during Women’s History Month, we recognize the importance of women in engineering and in all company roles. Women bring complimentary perspectives to a a team and women in engineering and leadership positions serve as a powerful influence to the young girls who find interest in math and science, and demonstrate that one day they too can be engineers, CEO’s and industry leaders.
Elliott joined her family business in 2005 and has successfully moved throughout the company beginning in manufacturing, moving to accounting, marketing, sales and into her current role of CEO. She is successfully creating a dynamic dedicated team, defining the company vision and increasing growth. During her tenure as CEO, she has tripled the company’s annual revenues as well as advanced the company’s employee roster.
Elliott continues to fulfill her goal of bringing new technology to customers while expanding the company. We are proud to have Kristin Elliott lead the PME team and we are excited to see what she and her team accomplishes next.
