Blue Green Algae

PME has integrated Turner Design's Cyclops-7 Blue Green Algae sensor to the T-Chain. The Cyclops-7 submersible sensors are easily integrated and maintained. They also consume low power and are ultra compact.

Cyanobacteria has been found to be a numerically abundant faction of the phytoplankton community. Their roles in primary production, community structure, and spatial and temporal distribution are of interst for numerous scientific studies as well as natural water monitoring. Since chlorophyll fluorescence cannot be used to accurately determine cyanobacteria presence, analyzing phycobilin concentrations is essential for detecting, quantifying, and monitoring cyanobacterial levels.
