RS 232/ 485 T-Chain

The PME T-Chain is available with RS 232 output and can be used with a variety of data loggers.

A special RS 232 node is molded near the connector on the T-Chain. This node converts the standard T-Chain data protocol into a RS 232 protocol and handles individual sensor measurements. Each RS 232 T-Chain includes a separate cable (shown below), which converts the normal T-Chain underwater connector to a RS 232 connector. The customer data logger supplies 12 VDC to the red/ black wires. The customer data logger sends a carriage return character over the RS 232 connection to which the T-Chain replies with a data string.

Customers purchase the RS 232 T-Chain to be used with third party data loggers, or to directly connect to their computer during measurement.
