Dissolved Oxygen Sensor

PME's Dissolved Oxygen sensor is an optode that measures lifetime-based luminescence quenching of fluorescence of a thin membrane. Unlike temperature, which is molded into the chain, the new DO sensors are removable. Customers are able to swap on re-calibrated sensors and swap off sensors to be calibrated and cleaned.

The top photo at right is the actual DO sensor that will connect to the cable (shown below).

The bottom photo at right is a method of branching the T-Chain cable in order to provide a short lead to an underwater connector that the new DO sensor will plug unto.

DO sensors are now transmitting real-time data from Deadwood Reservoir in Idaho. To view the data, go to CWR's OLARIS site, choose Deadwood Reservoir from the -Select Site- drop down list, then LDS from the -Select Data Source-. You may need to change your browser to view full screen in order to view the DO data. Once on full screen, choose Dissolved Oxygen from the Data Streams drop down list.
