PME and Center for Water Research (CWR) worked with the Bureau of Reclamation (BOR) on a custom designed Lake Diagnostic System (LDS), which was deployed in Deadwood Reservoir July, 2007.
The LDS will transmit meteorological data (wind speed, wind direction, net and solar radiation), as well as temperature, dissolved oxygen and pressure from the T-Chain.
The LDS and T-Chain had to be re-configured for winter deployment due to freezing temperatures. The meteorology sensors were removed from the reservoir and re-located on shore about 1Km away. The sub surface T-Chain remained suspended beneath a sub-surface buoy and collected data under a sheet of ice.
