Conductivity
PME's Conductivity sensor was developed to be used with the T-Chain multi-sensor monitoring string. Each sensor is attached to the T-Chain via an underwater connector and can be easily removed for maintenance and cleaning.
The conductivity sensor was designed for use in hypersaline lakes and estuary research applications where high accuracy conductivity isn't required.
The sensor measures conductivity using an inductive sensor technique. AC voltage is applied to a transformer core which induces current flow in the surrounding water. This current is detected by a second transformer core.
