EarthSoft to Provide T-Chain Software
Over the next few months PME will team with EarthSoft, Inc. to provide a complete water monitoring and analysis system.

The EQuIS LakeWatch from EarthSoft is a lake and reservoir monitoring software, which takes collected information and analyzes, interprets, and communicates detailed results.

The LakeWatch software is to be compatible with PME's LakeESP or T-Chain.

PME supplied the U.S. Geological Survey, Arkansas Water Science Center with a LDS (now LakeESP) station that was installed in Lake Dardanelle, Arkansas. This system demonstrated information and scientific monitoring capabilities for the Diamond Drive Bassmaster Elite Series Tournament, which was held March 26-29, 2009. The presence of this system at this public event follows the mission of the USGS, which is to provide data and information to the public to enhance knowledge of our water resources.

The LakeESP is a floating system that collects water temperature, dissolved oxygen, pressure and PAR data every 30 seconds, and has above surface meteorology sensors for monitoring air temperature, wind speed and direction, humidity and solar radiation. Data is transmitted to a computer.

The PME T-Chain has been configured to be compatible with Campbell Scientific data loggers. Compatible data loggers include the CR800-Series, CR1000 and CR3000 Micrologger.

The T-Chain is an instrument used as a water monitoring and lake management device that collects water column temperature, dissolved oxygen, PAR and pressure measurements. They are being used to monitor thermocline and stratification, dissolved oxygen fluctuations, internal waves, collect data under ice and to monitor plumes and upwelling.

LakeESP (Environmental Sensing Platform) instrument monitors real-time conditions of a lake, reservoir, estuary or river. It monitors real-time conditions of the water column temperature, dissolved oxygen, PAR and pressure. LakeESP also monitors meteorology parameters such as net long and short wave radiation, humidity, air temperature and more.

LakeESP replaces the previous LDS (Lake Diagnostic System) and will provide many new features. LakeESP is expected to be available about mid summer, 2009.
