Optional Shaft Bends

Sensors can be supplied mounted in bent shafts. These are useful where measurements are required in flowing experiments or where profiling from beneath the surface upward is desired.

Several examples are shown in the photos below. The sensors extend 2 inches (5cm) from the end of the tubing and are covered by the standard protective shields. The normal bend radius is 1.375". At least 2 inches (5cm) of un-bent shaft must exist between the end of the bend and the point where the shaft ends and sensor begins so that the protective shield can be attached. PME will custom bend shafts to your order.

The sensor shaft shown is a typical example of a 90 degree bend. The sensor is shown with its protective shield.

This sensor shaft has been bent with a 135 degree bend. The sensor is shown with its protective shield.

The sensor shaft shown is a typical example of a 180 degree bend. Again, the sensor is shown with its protective shield.
