The water compensating LDS station has a unique mooring design, which allows the LDS to remain stable while the water level rises and falls. The animation below shows how the mooring design creates a stable system with the changing water level. The T-Chain is able to take readings of the entire water column as the water level changes. When the water level is low, the T-Chain nodes may overlap, but constant data is being collected from the entire column.
